• Represent Company at executive management level to stakeholders
• Overseeing the Finance Department and build the team
• Financial Reporting: prepare monthly management accounts including discussion and analysis
• Operational Accounting: manage and analyze costs per project
• Financial Analysis & Business Metrics: Implement and monitor/ follow-up on financial and business metrics
• Budgets & Forecasting: Coordinate annual budget process; prepare short term (rolling three month cash forecasts), prepare rolling 18 month financial and cash flow forecasts
• Assist with developing and mentoring of staff
• Oversee the implementation of the BEE strategy as approved by the board from time to time
• Communicate and build a rapport with key stakeholders in the business
• Effectively manage the working capital cycle
• Implement financial controls / oversight with regard to tender submissions
• Drive and implement cost control measures and metrics
• Identify and initiate strategic cost management initiatives
• Assist MD with operational measurement and monitoring initiatives
• Provide strategic direction and operational input from a finance perspective
• Implement strategic imperatives as approved by the board from time to time

• CA (SA) qualification
• A minimum of ten years experience in the attainment of financial objectives as FM, of which at least 3/5 years in a medium sized to larger organisation
• A successful verifiable track record of achievement, of which at least 2 years in Construction environment, ideally
• Roads Construction.

• Proven ability to successfully manage the financial function in a fast growing environment with the ability to manage and implement change for sustainable growth
• A detailed knowledge of required processes and controls in a construction environment
• A flair for turn key project management in a construction environment
• Ability and experience in challenging existing business processes and successfully shaping the business for future growth

• Ability to handle conflict and implement change

Requirements:

Studying towards/recently completed diploma/degree in HR

Excellent administration skills

Good telephone manner – professional communication skills

We offer W2.1m + accommodation, utilities, and 3 meals a day. The working hours are weekdays 8.30 to 6 with a 1 and 3/4 hour lunch break, 7 classes a day (45 minutes), some of which will be free periods depending on the number of students that week. We also have to work at the weekends during our 6 week summer and winter camps, but generally you will have your weekends free for most of the year. Weekend overtime is also available.

Our location is great, near Olympic park, the Han river, and Jamsil in Seoul. The teachers here are very friendly and the lessons are situational and very easy to teach. Usually you will be teaching Elementary students, but we occasionally teach University students, and even students from Russia and Japan.

Role Objective:

You will oversee HR function of two manufacturing plants, one in Cape Town and one in Port Elizabeth with a total staff compliment of 900+. Reporting directly to the Operations Director in Cape Town and functionally to the Human Resources Director based in Germany, your role is to implement the Group’s HR policies and tools in order to provide support to management on human resource issues.

Essential requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a specialisation in HR Management
• Minimum 5 years experience in a HR function within an industrial environment
• A very good knowledge of employment law, Employment Equity, Labour Relations Act in South Africa
• Familiarity with HR information and payroll systems
